Carina Mills, AIA, is a licensed architect turned people leader with 20+ years in the AEC industry. She spent the first half of her career on the technical side of construction and design, then moved into leading people and culture at the highest levels, including serving as 2025 President of AIA California. She founded BrightSpark Consulting to continue a deepening commitment to shifting the culture of work — helping AEC organizations build stronger performance cultures, more effective leadership, and teams that people don't want to leave. Carina moves fluidly between design teams, construction crews, and boardrooms, translating what people need into strategy and coaching leadership can act on.
